The Great Global Warming Swindle documentary argues against the mostly-uncontested and unanimous agreement that global warming is man-made.
The main cause of climate change is NOT human activity but, rather, changes in radiation from the Sun. Earth’s climate is always changing. Previous periods were warmer and/or cooler, these changes occurring without help from humans. Climate variation is natural and nothing new.
Examples:
- During a Mini Ice-Age in our history, the Thames in London froze over, and there were wonderful ice fairs during this time.
- Before the Mini Ice-Age, we had the medieval warm period – vineyards grew even in England.
- Greenland was much warmer a few thousand years ago.

Environmental Politics
The theory of manmade global warming is presented in the media as having the stamp of authority of an impressive, international organisation called the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The final conclusions of the IPCC are politically driven. Quite a number on the board of IPCC are not scientists. Those on the IPCC board who are specialists but DON’T agree with the contentious rhetoric of the IPCC, often resign.
Patrick Moore, Co-Founder of Greenpeace, says the IPCC is now a political activist movement, and no longer an environmental movement. It has become hugely influential at a global level.
Is Carbon Dioxide (CO2) really the culprit causing global warming, or is there another reason?
Looking back at temperature records since the mid-19th Century, it is seen that the earth’s temperature has just risen over half a degree Celsius. But this warming began long before cars and planes were even invented. Most of the rise in temperature occurred before 1940 during a period of insignificant industrial production.
Has industrial progress changed the climate? In the early 20th century, cars were produced and factories built. It was the time of the post-war economic boom. In theory, therefore, temperatures should have shot up during the economic boom. But they actually fell for four decades! It wasn’t until the world economic recession in the 1970s that the temperatures stopped falling.
When human-made CO2 levels increased during the industrial commencement (post World War II), the global temperature was going down. In other words, the facts do not fit the theory.

Why are we told CO2 is responsible for our change in climate
CO2 forms only a very small part of the earth’s atmosphere. As a percentage of all gases in the atmosphere, it is .054% - incredibly small. The human contribution to that of .054% is almost nothing at all. CO2 is a minor greenhouse gas. Water vapour is also a greenhouse gas, the most important one.
The hypothesis of manmade global warming is falsified by the evidence.
Al Gore says that CO2 is responsible for global warming, but it is the other way around. By looking at historical temperature records, we see the Earth’s temperature is leading CO2 by 800 years. Temperatures rise and fall, and then after a few hundred years, CO2 levels follow those temperature changes. Ice-core records show the exact opposite to what is being propagated currently.

CO2 is a natural gas produced by all living things. It is not a pollutant. It is how living things grow. Volcanoes produce more CO2 than almost anything else. The oceans are the biggest reservoirs of CO2. The warmer the oceans, the more CO2 they produce. The cooler they are, the more they suck in. Oceans take hundreds of years to cool down or warm up, hence the time-lag between temperature changes and CO2 changing so much later.
CO2 has never determined global temperatures.

What does drive earth’s temperature and climate then?
Look at that massive thing in the sky, the Sun! Dr Piers Corbyn, Climate Forecaster at Weather Action, used the sun to predict the weather. Sunspots are intense magnetic fields. The more sunspots, the warmer earth is. There are less sunspots during ice ages.
Sunspots were compared to earth’s temperature records. The rise and fall of sunspot activity is in sync with temperature variation – they are intimately linked. The Sun drives changes in the climate, not CO2.
CO2 is not our enemy. The Sun is not our enemy. Humans are being blamed for an issue that isn't even an issue. The environmental movement is, sadly, about profit and the transfer of natural assets from the public domain to the private sector.
