After two very successful documentaries, the 3rd in the series looks set to be the most explosive yet.
The documentary showcases Professor Mathias Desmet, who is also the author of The Psychology of Totalitarianism, a book that describes a world under mass-formation control, that would promise us the establishment of a new technology-based, science-based, heaven.
Under the right conditions, the professor believes, there could emerge a particular kind of group formation, which already began in 2020 upon the emergence of COVID.
Are We Repeating "Germany in the 1930s?"
He gives historical examples where groups were formed, like concentration camps to fight the Jews, the Crusades to fight Muslims, and witch-hunts to fight the witches, but makes a distinction between this in a technological age, which has brought about a new kind of totalitarianism.
Professor Desmet points out that totalitarianism, understood as the demonic bargaining between the elites and the masses, is different from a dictatorship, in which power is wielded in a single direction.
In another interview, Desmet stated :
“So all this free floating anxiety is attached to, connected to, the object of anxiety indicated in the narrative. And there is a huge willingness to participate in the strategy to deal with this object of anxiety because in this way, people feel that they can control their anxiety and their psychological discontent better.
So all this anxiety connects to the subject of anxiety, and there is a huge willingness to participate in the strategy and that leads up to something very specific.
People suddenly feel connected again in a heroic struggle with the object of anxiety. So a new kind of solidarity, a new kind of social bond and a new kind of meaning emerges in society. And that’s the reason why people follow the narrative, why people buy into the narrative and why they are willing to participate in this strategy.“
